Travel / Jim’s “Rules of the Road”

I couldn't resist the play on words - the animals copulate while you wait!

A lot of the travel information in this blog is specific to my particular itinerary and personal preferences, but hopefully you will find some useful tidbits.  Please see my “Rules of the Road” for more info.

My basic rules of the road:

Take “Little Sips” – This one is inspired by the Elaine Bennis character on the sit-com “Seinfeld.”  Jerry and Co. termed Elaine’s dancing as “little kicks.”  In my travels, I take “little sips” of coffee or water, which allows me to take fewer bathroom breaks.

“Go West Young Man” – That is, take I-30 West instead of the I-65 interchange at I-80/94 or I-90.  This will save you a great deal of stress, a little money and maybe even some time.  You avoid road construction, heavy traffic and toll booths.  You also have a more interesting drive and have easy access to all kinds of interesting things.  See “Other Possible Stops in Merrillville and surrounds.”

Does this sign make you want to buy a house from these guys?
